Maisy bedding story began in the Patersonrose workshop by compiling a ‘brief.  A brief of a duvet cover design that would be stand out in a crowd!. Firstly, retailers were consulted, customers queried, staff members participated. And, so, began the creation of the Maisy adults & girls duvet cover design.

Each duvet cover design starts with a brief. Duvet / doona cover sketches begin. Layer by layer, the fabric is pieced together. Colour is added, Then pattern & scale. Always, we refer back to the overall duvet design brief.

The Maisy duvet cover brief was to be ‘blue’.  A design that appealed to adults, older girls & tweens alike. A modern look was wanted & Maisy bedding was to be fashion focused; floral! Our inspiration was dreamy florals; a soft rainbow of colour. There was to be some sunshiny orange; a hint of lavender. But nothing too harsh or too bright. The duvet cover design must be feminine. We wanted a unique aspect – something different from other linen houses. Ink blue! Months & months of draft designs, colour testing & flowers designs. Finally, the Maisy duvet cover design ‘story’ was complete.

And boy! have we put the cat among the pigeons with Maisy. The Maisy flower duvet / doona cover is masterpiece. Ultimately, we hope you, our fabulous Patersonrose fans, with be filled with joy & happiness & love at our latest & greatest Maisy bedding 🌸❤️.
