Nevertheless, the primary goal for Maisy was to be a duvet cover design that stood out in a crowd for adults and girls. Furthermore, she was easy to mix and match and had many colour options that would go with this quilt cover.

Duvet / doona cover sketches begin. We assembled the fabric layer by layer. Next, we add color and apply the pattern and scale. Always, we refer back to the overall duvet design brief.

The Maisy duvet cover brief was to be ‘deep blue’.  A design that appealed to adults, older girls & teens alike. We wanted a modern look, and Maisy bedding should be fashion-focused with floral designs. There was to be an element of sun-shiny orange; a hint of lavender. But nothing too harsh or too bright. Primarily, the duvet cover design must be feminine. We wanted a unique aspect – something different from other linen houses. Ink blue!

Months & months of draft designs, colour testing & flowers designs began. Finally, over 6 months later, the Maisy duvet cover design ‘story’ was complete.

And boy! have we put the cat among the pigeons with Maisy. The Maisy flower duvet / doona cover is masterpiece. Ultimately, we hope you, our fabulous Patersonrose fans, will be filled with joy & happiness & love at our latest & greatest Maisy bedding 🌸❤️.
